Wes Brown to Sign for Newcastle?

Its been reported that Newcastle United are interested in Signing Manchester United and England defender Wes Brown for a fee in the region of £5m.

According to some sources Brown is said to be excited about the prospect of a move to St James Park, but this site thinks this may be wishful thinking on some parts.

For one, Wes is a Mancunian and has expressed his views more than once that he never wanted to leave Manchester or United for that matter.
If Wes did want to leave then Newcastle are the true dissapointments of the Premier League, with their large stadium and larger fan base, the club has the potential to at least challenge LiverPool and Arsenal for Champions league places but time and again they fail. This seasons signings of Barton and Viduka point to nothing changing on tyneside, Allardyce will lift them temporarily but not for long.

The fee reported is quite ridiculous for an England international (although isn't everybody these days?) and an established squad member of Manchester United.
